Composer/pianist/bassoonist Uri Brener was born in Moscow and has been playing the piano since the age of four.

After studying and performing in Germany, he moved to Israel and has won a series of highly prestigious awards and scholarships. Uri is also a winner of the Israeli Prime Minister prize for composition.

Uri was chosen as the resident composer of the Israel Sinfonietta Beer-Sheva. The Sinfonietta's new season, 2007-2008, opened with the worldwide premier of his concerto for piano and orchestra, "Blarings, Clouds, Celebrations". It was announced that the concerto has won the prestigious ACUM award.

Uri's debut album, "A Walk", was just released.
